Pertemps Psychological Therapies are urgently looking to speak with Clinical/Counselling Psychologists OR CBT Therapists who would be interested in a management role with a renowned CAMHS team based in inner London.

This role offers an immediate start with the ideal candidate being able to work full time however part time applicants will also be considered. The duration of this post will be a 12 month fixed term contract

The successful candidate will have an active caseload of children and adolescents with mild – moderate emotional and mental health difficulties and will use a range of evidence-based models, employing the principles underpinning the national CYP-IAPT programme (Children and Young People’s Improving Access to Psychological Therapies).  Early interventions will be delivered in a range of educational settings (primary, secondary, special, alternative provision and sixth form college) across the Central London area.

Person Specification

  • Doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology OR post-graduate diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
  • HCPC registration as practitioner psychologist OR BABCP Accreditation for CBT Therapist
  • Experience in managing a clinical multi-disciplinary mental health team and providing clinical supervision and case management  
  • Substantive experience providing clinical supervision to other mental health clinicians/practitioners 
  • Demonstrate substantive direct clinical experience (autonomously providing assessment, developing treatment plans and delivering a range of therapeutic interventions) with children and young people aged 5-18 with mental health difficulties
  • Familiarity with a range of evidence-based practice, including CBT and Systemic, both within clinical training and delivering interventions

This role involves

  • Assessing and developing evidence-based treatment plans to meet the mild - moderate needs of CYP with a range of emotional and mental health difficulties
  • Delivering evidence-based early interventions for CYP aged 5-18 with mild – moderate emotional and mental health difficulties 
  • Routinely measuring clinical outcomes, in line with the CYP-IAPT programme
  • Providing clinical supervision and management, including support through observations and modelling, to 3 – 4 team members (NHS Band 4 – 5 equivalent)
  • Attending clinical supervision
