Are you a Band 8A Advanced Physiotherapist looking for a Part Time position based in Essex ?

22.5 hrs a week 8.30-16.30 but can be flexible 14/10 for 12wks

Responsible for developing physiotherapy programmes for

patients within the community pain management service to

include a Fibromyalgia pathway. Undertake complex consultation assessments.



Job Summary:

To be responsible for developing physiotherapy programmes for patients within the community pain management service to include a fibromyalgia pathway which links into evidence based practice

To liaise closely with and deputise for the Head of Community Pain Services making appropriate decisions regarding service delivery based on clinical outcomes

To carry out electronic triage of all patients referred into the service ensuring patients will be seen by the most appropriate clinical specialist

To promote the role of the advanced specialist physiotherapist and be able to provide expert advice to both patients and other professionals in relation to highly complex pain patients 

To work alongside the multidisciplinary team as a clinical expert, all of whom specialise in pain management and undertake complex consultation assessments.

Provide clinical supervision to other team members alongside the Head of Community Pain Service

To be skilled in supporting patients to gain confidence to self-manage their own pain using shared decision making.

To participate in and in some areas, lead in the running of the education sessions.

To provide expert leadership to other team members and be an active participant to service redesign, research, and audit.


Grade: Band 8

Pay: £37.00 per hour
